Character Age: We're going with 18, there are no canonical ages but this makes enough sense to me with her canon point.

History: King Halo was raised in a fancy, rich, well to do family, her mother already being a widely successful both on the race track and in designing racewear for other Uma Musume after her racing career retirement. King Halo and her mother have always had a strained relationship. Her mother demands nothing but perfection from everything in her life, including her daughter.

King Halo enrolls in Tracen Academy against her mother's wishes and deals with constant phone calls and beratement from her mother. Telling her that she's talentless, to come home before she embarrasses herself, constantly putting her down at every stage in her career.

King Halo, after enrollment, is scouted by her trainer and competes in a three year racing career ending in her taking the UFA Finals, one of the most prestigious goals for any Uma Musume.


Personality: King Halo is incredibly prideful and haughty, to the point of being unbearable at first glance. She has always believed herself to be "first-rate" as she calls it and acts in a way where she demands respect and fandom everywhere she goes. It is obvious, at least to me, that this is her defense mechanism. She holds herself to just as high standards as her Mother does, in hopes of impressing her one day. But to deal with the constant beratement and outright emotional abuse from her Mother her personality has twisted into one that is extremely arrogant, and most importantly, does not take no for an answer.

During her career mode she does eventually figures out that she doesn't need her Mother's approval, she only needs her own self approval, and dismisses her Mother's critiques outright. Though she is still very critical of herself and losing races can often take an incredible toll on her emotionally. As much as her and her Mother do not get along she still takes after her, a perfectionist that insists that everything in her life be as perfect as she is.

King Halo is incredibly sweet to the other horse girls around her, particularly ones who are younger than her or look up to her, like her roommate Haru Urara and Kawakami Princess. She's actually very kind despite what you'd think of her arrogant attitude and upbringing. King Halo takes pride in lifting up the ones around her and helping them with training, practice, or whatever else they may need help with.


Initial Game Plan: Having a bad time by discovering no one knows who you are, or what Uma Musume even are, and then after that she's going to find a way to make her dreams come true even in a different land, even after her death. She's here for a reason, after all!
RP Interests: Friends, maybe a cute gf to hold hands with someday. I def want her to further cement that she doesn't need to please anyone but herself and the literal physical distance from her Mother will help a lot I think. She will def need people in her life to facilitate this and that will see that she's just a genuinely good horse girl doing her best. Though obviously she won't get along with everyone, some antagonistic CR would be great too.
Preferred Job: Since athlete/sprint runner is not really a job here I am considering having her go the fashion designer route. I suppose she could also start some sort of track club? Open to ideas.
NSFW-friendly?: Not for this girl. The characters in Uma Musume are based off of actual irl racing horses and the jockies and other people associated with caring for these horses have asked very politely that people do not make nsfw content with the horses. I want to respect their wishes. Wholesome lesbian content, however, is more than fine.
